Triang Hornby R421 Australian Trans Australia Buffet Car Silver / Red 20711 R26/27.

Issued between 1960 and 1961 and referenced in the Tri-Ang catalogs in both years as R421 Buffet Car. The coach is a pale grey – silver with red – maroon window bands.

Marked as Made in Australia by Moldex later issues have a change to Made in Aust. & N.Z. This stamping helps with guiding the manufacture period.

Unboxed and showing some signs of play-wear. Minimal scratches to the blue plastic. Black letters, numbers and red stripes are in good condition.

The red table lamps for the buffet are a feature of the Australian issue. Overall a nice model with little obvious use.
