Plastic Male Doll in Greek National Costume c1970. Doll appears to be blow-mold plastic with cloth coverings for dress and skin tone. The costume is hand-sewn to fit the body. The doll is not mounted and has plastic shoes affixed with pins. Our estimate as circa 1970 is based on the original owner collecting dolls during her global travels in the 1960’s and 1970’s. Country of origin is not known but assumed to be Greece. It comes in an interesting box that is obviously not original. The box is branded as B.T.R Canvas Footwear, Made in England. The style is apparently a Winton Black Gusset ref: BW 635 Size 3. Our brief research on the box could not trace the company name, but the style of box making suggests 1960’s.
