Glenn Plastics Bildit Set Tube made in Melbourne Australia 1950’s – 1960’s. This is an incomplete set with some damage to the pieces and others missing.
The type of plastic used tends to snap if forced and as a result there are many smaller pieces broken from the rods and wheels.
Similar to the wooden tinker-toy of the era, these plastic items were issued with a Patent number for sale in Australasia, the USA, and UK markets.
Branded as “L & I Glenn Pty Ltd” of 463 Auburn Rd Hawthorn east Victoria, there was also a factory in Moorabbin in the same era.
Includes the packing slip for quality control. Packed by number 60, which we assume was an employee number at the time. It would be cool to know who it was!
