A circa 1950 Hermann Eichhorn Lungers Hausen West German Wooden Fairy Tale Scenes Block Puzzle.

Made in Western Germany by an unidentified firm, this young childs puzzle has 6 different images on the cube-shaped pieces. Beautifully illustrated by Ilse Wende-Lungershausen depicting 6 popular fairy-tale scenes. The set includes all the blocks in good condition, the original carboard box featuring puzzle portrait #1 (later issues / re-issues have a plastic case), and all 5 printed solution pictures. The box has suffered some seam splits but is generally very good for its age. The puzzle blocks are good with some edge wear from use. Overall complete and good condition.

The artist can be referenced as Ilse Wende-Lungershausen (born July 9, 1900 in Berlin ; † August 22, 1991 in Ravensburg ) was a German illustrator while Hermann Eichhorn was the manufacturer of the wooden block puzzles.

A circa 1950 Hermann Eichhorn Lungers Hausen West German Wooden Fairy Tale Scenes Block Puzzle.

Made in Western Germany by Hermann Eichhorn, a wooden toy manufacturer, this young childs puzzle has 6 different images on the cube-shaped pieces. Beautifully illustrated by Ilse Wende-Lungershausen depicting 6 popular fairy-tale scenes.
